GAS relief - my Anderson Classic

I sort of promised to myself that I wouldn't be buying any new guitars, but then I couldn't say no to this transparent Tobacco Sunburst:

Plays real fine. Nice feel, great tone.

Thanks to my wife who said "so why don't you take it, dear?". :)

Right, I want extensive details. What's the neck like? pickups?

-I have serious gas for a TA classic, but it'll be a while before I'm able to get one...

The fretboard is flatter than my 9,5" fender tele, so I'd assume it's a 10 or 12". The frets are large and with no buzz.

Tuners are Grover lockings.

The pickups are the vintage Anderson pickups with the bridge being overwound. I thought that I might need a HB in the bridge before getting it, but now I know I don't.

The pickups are vintage sounding, warm, midrangey-but not too much and they clear out beautifully with gain.

The tremolo is very touch sensitive and does all that Henderson stuff.

The guitar is from 1997 so its already "broken-in" and resonates well.

Overall, I'm pleased.

Thats some serious GAS relief . . . and gorgeous to boot. :32:

And kudos to the wife, also. ;)

Great choice! That's a real beauty, and a lifetime keeper. Timeless!

I can imagine that it'd be a little difficult scoring a California made guitar all the way in Italy. Andersons have ridiculously good necks. Maybe I'm a bit superstitious, but every single guitar I've played/owned from 1997 was an absolute gem. Must have been a great year for sourcing good wood, and we all know Anderson finds the best.

The only problems I've had with Anderson guitars is how boring, flat, and sterile they look. Yours however, looks spectacular. Anderson makes great guitars. But to me they've never had any soul whatsoever. They kind of were like a nice sounding plank of wood. And they do sound and feel great.
