Gc used

Re: Gc used

Floyd Licensed-compatible or Fender bars, yeah...kahlers, edge, bass trems, other unusual standards? As if

wtf

srisously are you just stringing words together to make a post?

everyone is welcome to an opinion, but c'mon

Re: Gc used

would rather have waited for the answer never to arrive possibly on here than sitting on hold for 5-10 min which usually is the case with GC.

Kahler among others did in fact make trems for bass and I know for a fact Carvin offered that system as an option. Just because you have never seen one does not mean they don't exist!

didn't say it didn't exist

there just may be five in the US
and never saw one on GC used

and expecting them to have a replacement bar
for such a one off
is ridiculous

that's like asking Tire Rack dot com
if they have parts for your Schwinn

Re: Gc used

I was a GC Garage Tech at the New Orleans store, and we were told NOT to setup used guitars... That's at least $60 into a guitar that can't be recovered. I was a pretty nice chap and if something was REALLY wonky or broken, I'd fix BEFORE it was sold so I could write a Store-Owned-Gear Repair Order on the item. Then the customer was usually quite pleased!

Re: Gc used

Having worked for GC, I believe it to be a piece of trash company. However, I have bought a lot of stuff used. Good deals to be had if you hunt around their used website. They are still making a fortune. I have seen the prices they have taken that stuff in for.

In my area it seems everyone flips their gear at GC. Last time I went through the one in Rocklin there was a 6505 combo for 400, as well as a Bogner Alchemist for the same price. I haven't seen those on CL for any cheaper. I'm waiting to see a Carvin combo drift though to snatch up as they have a low MSRP, low review count and low interest in them.

Re: Gc used

I bought my number ones from GC used when they had the 15% off all used gear prices sale. the current used sale is similar but I do not think as much of a discount though. I bought my:

gibson sg standard

rickenbacker 4003

they sound great! I called the store that was selling them and asked questions before buying. Turns out the original owners did not even use them really.

I own one (kahler bass). And I got three DIFFERENT kahler systems in my 10 guitar rack, two of them from GC...only one with bar

And NO, i wasnt specifically even looking for kahler bridge guitars and basses. Just went with what seemed cool and reasonably priced.

Random REPLACEMENT arms would be, well, random. But having an arm for a guitar they sell is another matter entirely.
