very cool collection man. Have you had the moderne very long?

I bought that guitar about 7 or 8 years ago...it was (and still is) the most I have ever paid for one guitar!

It took forever to pay it off...but it was well worth all the waiting and working!
It was mu number one player for a long time, I have put quite a few marks on it but I figured...what the hell...I bought it to play it!

that is 1 to hold on too.. there arent alot of them

I always liked the way the guitar played and the way it felt on a strap, but I was always a little un happy with the tone...one day I dropped a set of PG's in it, and it was a whole new world!

I couldn't be happier with it now!

Re: gear pics

Curly,

To be honest...I am kind of on the look out for a Silvertone 1482 thats not beat to ****! Belive me...I used to have an old Silvertone bass head with the matching 1x15 cab (with the original blackframe)...I loved it...it was a low down nasty rig!

ledzepp29,

thats not all...I still don't have any shots of my lefty 68 reissue Strat (truth be told, Im not done re doing it yet anyway!), and theodie os working on another Strat for me! As for the Bich...the one in my avatar is 4k! There is a chance of an NJ Classic though...

uh .. me too .. let's hope we don't bid against each other ... that was my first amp - but the 2 x 12s SMOKE !!! :)

BTW .... I didn't know that aluminum neck was a Kramer .. I thought maybe it was a Travis Bean. I have a friend who works at GC (one of the Burst Bros. in the Vintage store) - he used to collect Travis Beans.
I think it would be cool to design an aluminum neck with an open slot design, like a Selmer .. has that been done????

anyway, cool collection ... and I thought you only had one strat

That would be cool...I looked for a very long for a good clean Travis Bean...I did not like the neck and I would have just gotten over it, but it was $2200.00...the Kramer has a much better neck (for me) and it was only $329.00! :laugh2: I got those pickups for next to nothing and they sound great in it (the neck pickup is reversed polarity...you should hear a PG mod in an aluminum neck guitar!).

And not too long I didn't have any strats! :smack:
I got that JV then I found a very cool lefty 68 reissue (Wattage made me do it!), and now I have theodie building my an H/H Strat, then He's gonna do me another Strat...BTW...I blame you and Lew and John for my insane Strat GAS!!!

alrighty, then!

now you need a Hamer ... I'd say you're the Special type - 2 P90s on a slab of mahogany. :)

Im not that easy...I'd like to have a Hamer Special, and I don't have anything with P-90's, but Im not sure I could get used to the position of the 3 way on a Hamer...

I played a couple of Sound City amps a few months ago and was very impressed with the sound quality! Very nice amp.

THANKS!

Everybody I asked told me all kinds of horror stories about them, then I asked Jeff Seal and he told me to go with it.,..I couldn't be happier. It is a fantastic amp that is very brittish in tone but still has it's own character!

Re: gear pics

That's strange, we didn't see the guitar in your avatar :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Nice collection Guy...
