gentlemen, I present the start of my new Esquire project

Re: gentlemen, I present the start of my new Esquire project

my first one was 9.4K, and 6.6K tapped (A2); the neck is 7.6 (A5) .. with the right amp, they compress very nicely ... raw tone with a sweet top end and just the right bite

Wow..I thought those were a lot hotter.

I have the 53 JB Set in my Tele and the bridge is 6.2 tapped and 9.26 full (Alnico II) and the neck is 7.8k (A5).

I guess those 2 sets are actually pretty close...

Man, I love it. If it were mine, I'd go with only 1 pickup, the one you have in mind, and a black or tortoise Esquire pickguard, then a rosewood fretboard.

hey, thanks again for the nice comments

I've said before that I'm not really a fan of precious, fancy guitars, and I always want to have players.
That said, this body arrived at work yesterday morning, and I left it out so I could look at it, 'cause it was that nice.

thanks, Ryan ... I think :D
Sigh...man you have the most cool guitars on the face of the Earth:D
That is one extremely nice Tele Curly!
thanks, Rid ... you're always very encouraging, and understand my taste

hey thanks, theodie
I got the body from my friend Tommy @ USACG. It was a web special, and IIRC, weighed about 4 lbs, 3 oz.
I've just been very happy with their parts, and as you know, their necks and fret work are excellent!
