Has anyone heard of these before?
Germino Amps

I saw Zoso, a Zeppelin tribute band last Friday (and they were absolutely amazing - if you get a chance, check them out - Zoso)

The guitarist was using a couple of these amps (I'm assuming the 55s) and they sounded REALLY good.

I've heard of them, but haven't played on one.

I'm starting to think all the plexi clones sound basically the same,
like a really good plexi. Some are higher in gain than others,
which it looks like the Germinos are. I've used the Blues Pearl
Brittone 50, Fargen mightyplex, Wizard Classic, and heard others
like Mojave, Blockhead, and Roccaforte.
Out of all of those, I thought the Wizard and Blockhead sounded the best. Now, I've gotten so spoiled by the Bogner Ecstasy
that it's even hard to look at any more Marshall clones, but I'd be more apt to buy a Germino for a reasonable price than I would to break the bank on a Komet 60, which is another one I wish I had.
I'm pretty much done jonesin for amps, but the flow of cool new boutiques never ends, which always keeps me interested.
Once you hear some of these expensive amps, it's hard to go back down to mass produced amps. The more you hear, the more your ear is tuned to the finer nuances.

Check out tattoo amps as well. Another very reasonably priced Plexi clone... There are lots of em these days...

Shoot. You reminded me about an auction I wanted to win
for a Tattoo amp head. Sometimes, I buy these kinda amps
just to play on them for a few weeks, while I have it listed for a higher price. It's a fun hobby, if you can keep yourself from keeping everything. I shoulda got that Tattoo amp. It was only
like $700 or something.

Yeah, I saw how your plan works, very cool... I think they sit at like 900.00 somthing new, at keast a year ago they did. He is a new builder trying to get a rep so the prices are good. I have heard good things about them.
