I have been viewing this with a bit of interest. I have not voted in any polls because i was not sure if i would buy one or not although i would read an say oo i hope its alnico 8 or whatever but thinking nah i don't really need one. But i must admit i am tempted here. I have the cash but i am a bit apprehensive of buying something i i have no clue what it will sound like. If I get in on this it would go in my Rg 3120 as i am not messing with my jem!! I was hoping for alnico 8. I don't know. I wish we were being given some indication of what this will sound like. truth is i don't need it but still the chance of having a bit of a unique tone from RG intrigues me.

I ordered one. I wasn't because I didn't have a guitar to put one in. But I remembered I had built a strat for my daughters' band with single coil sized blade buckers. The strat is now back in my possesion as the band members are all high school seniors and planning for college in a few months. The neck PUP is around 13K so I thought what the heck, I need a new project.

If you're ordering from outside the USA, please use "Alabama" as the state (unless and untill we get the form fixed). Make sure to note the country. Derek will be on the lookout for "fake Alabamas."
Also, around a day or two after you place your order, Derek will be sending you an order confirmation by e-mail. Open the pdf attachement and look at the bill-to and ship-to and make sure they're OK. If they're not please contact Derek ASAP.
Finally, since we're shipping via UPS (except to EU countries), please make sure you use a UPS-shippable address, which generally means no Post Office boxes.

I know a lot of us have already jumped in, but we are also pretty curious. Is there any way that, after it gets tested out, we could get a description of the frequency response and output, and how it compares to other pickups? I'm just curious as to where it stands on the "Tone Comparison Chart" with regards to resonant peak and "B/M/T".

Have the confirmation emails gone out? Anyone receive theirs yet? I placed an order relatively soon after the order form went up. I don't want to place a duplicate order if the original order is through, but I don't want to miss the boat if the order was never received. I emailed Derek, hope to hear back.
