10 grand is pretty steep for any guitar. However, you can't even touch a genuine 57-60 Sunburst Les Paul for that. Pristine examples have gone as high as $100,000.

I'd rather put that 10K on a house... or a car... I'd buy a reissue and put a set of '59s in there (or maybe a JP set) and I'd get almost the same thing... I won't pay twice the price for someone's signature...

my friend bought a dead mint 1960 lp for $600 unfourtunatly its lost quite a bit awhile do this ******* in local band making a couple burn marks on the body and back of the neck.

actually pristine examples of 59s have been seen to go for up to 225-250,000. the market has sky rocketed for them, most none players too, they just look for perty ones and wait for them to gain more value

honestly i'd rahher spend maybe one third of that money on a regular les paul standard in maybe a honey burst add a 59 to the bridge with no cover and ta da!!!!!!! instant page that a sure you will play great haha Its too bad gibson only offers alot of things through their custom shop, thier prices are just too high for average joes to afford and if we do buy them we are eating ramen noodles for years on end. haha

Strat Master, thats what I did and it came out closer to $5k than $10k.

2001 59 RI LP + 1 set SD Custom Shop Jimmy Page pickups + 4 push pull pots and a bunch of extra wire. Definately makes for a nice guitar.
