Getting a Mesa in Five Minutes - NEED ADVICE

Re: Getting a Mesa in Five Minutes - NEED ADVICE

I feel like your session with my Dual Rec had something to do with your latest purchase!! What are you using for a cabinet?

Yeah, after playing your Dual Rec I couldn't get the crunch out of my head. If I never stopped by your place the other day I may not have the Single Rec today. That tone's just so heavy...I had to have it. I think I can get just as much crunch, I just don't want a full 100 watts.

I'll be using my MESA 4 x 12 cab with the Celestion Vintage 30s. I'd like to be able to hook it into a 2 x 12 at some point; carrying around the 4 x 12 is backbreaking.

Nice... glad I could help with your GAS issues!!! That cab you played through at my place has Celetion G12L-35s and I'm getting real close to swapping them out for G12T-75s (the Marshall 1960A standard). I played through my buddies 1960A and it was much clearer and cut through a hell of a lot better. So it'll be that or Vintage 30s.

Hey...I just got myself a set of V30's, so I have four G12T-75's for sale. (16ohm). They are in perfect condition, and I am in Boston as well. So if you're interested, let me know!

What was the impetus behind the switch? (I know nothing about G12T-75s...not even the manufacturer.)
