Getting a replacement cover for a 5-2 (which is wider than a normal SC)

I bought a used 5-2 from someone on this board, and it came with a white cover, and I installed it with that cover. I later noticed, that this cover, and the pole pieces of the 5-2 are spaced slightly wider (approx. 3mm) than a regular single coil pickup. So, if I wanted to get a black replacement cover for this pickup, would I have to order it specially from SD, or do most stores have this slightly wider kind of cover?

Thanks,
Jacob

good question. not sure but i think you might need to get it from a duncan dealer

I called up Sam Ash, which deals Sam Ash pickups, and as usual, the salesman was clueless; when I asked about single coil covers that were wider than usual, I was informed they had gold and nickle Gibson covers.

So I'm just gonna file a regular cover out a bit to get it to fit.

Thanks anyway,
Jacob
