I tried this with my ES-335 and the Dirty Fingers bridge. No wah type sound, but there was a very nice effect.
I've started setting the pole pieces in all my pickups to match the board radius because I found it really made pickups come alive. I had both sets of screw poles in the Dirty Fingers this way, so I tried flattening the row closer to the neck. It opened up the sound a little and made for a far more interesting crunchy tone.
