You're completely right. SG's are practically balanced on their front strap button. Add a long headstock and twice as many tuners......the neck will likely drop when you let go of it.

Any guitar that has ever done this has been a flop......like the BC Rich Stealth.

Indeed... besides that I'm not sure if a floyd would even fit in an SG body, it's enough trouble keeping 12 strings in tune as it is.

Then again, I'm not a huge fan of floyds.

Im not sure the exact thickness of an SG, but my WM526 has one and its pretty thin like an SG.

I love SG's period next to the Firebird it's my second favorite Gibson (guitar wise anyway). And that it's a 12 string just won major flair and mojo points !

Ya know, my only issue with the 12 string SG is that the SG has one of the weakest neck joints ever on a Gibson...I just see a lot of those getting broken...

I'm not saying you're wrong, but I don't recall this being a problem on the 1275. Why would this be any different?:scratchch
