For sale is a Gibson '57 Classic...For parts or repair.
It is a bridge position, and to tell the truth, I have no idea what was done to this pickup.
It doesn't appear that the windings have been broken, but the the wiring is definitely worse for the wear.
The magnet has also been swapped for a polished Alnico 5
The top of the pickup is not damaged, you are seeing the wax residue from the cover being removed..
This can either be brought back from the grave.. Or better yet seems like the perfect starting point for someone starting to make their own pickups..
