I'm not familar with Gibson amps at all, but this one came up for sale locally, the guy is asking 75 bucks for it. I'm not in need of an amp at all, but how are these tone wise? Any value simply for the fact its a Gibson?

That's an early 70's SS model...not the best of their efforts, but for 75 bucks, why not? The amp logo might be worth that much alone...
In general, avoid the mid-60's stuff with the twin-T filter tone stacks (unless you want to sound like Brian Jones and nothing else) and go for the earlier models.
