Great forum by the way!
Im reconditioning a Gibson SB bass from the early 70's. I know Ill never find orig pups ,so can anyone reconend a single coil equivilent or mini bass h bucker,4 string.TX,Mike

do you have pups in there right now? im not sure what size the pups are in that beast. if there isnt a replacement made you can have the existing pups rewound, assuming there is existing pups.

sure you don't mean EB? (probably an EB3 the way you describe it

I'm pretty sure Dimarzio makes a replacement for the neck bucker...(the model 1)

don't know about the mini bucker.

Well if it has a pickguard you could get one cut with anything you like. I would go with a SD Rickenbacker humbucker bridge and a Dimarzio EBO neck. As long as the route will accept it. But if it is EBO style you could probably use the Rickenbacker neck in the bridge.
