Back in '92 I purchased a 1985 Jackson Soloist that I always wanted. I had it laying face-down on the floor in the living room. I had just gotten out of the shower when the phone rang... I walked out to pickup the phone (room was dark), and SNAP! I had stepped on the back of the neck, and snapped the headstock clean off!

Oh gosh that would hurt my feelings so bad.

I will NEVER carry any guitar in a gig bag ever again, I've been fortunate to never have one fall but I don't trust either my Epiphone Les Paul or my G&L USA Jerry Cantrell Rampage to a gig bag...hardshell / tolex cases only
