My #1 guitar. Stock. I think it's unique to have that CS switchplate. I think it's a 2011. Serial number 711786.

D'Addario EXL116 played through Marshalls with no effects.

I’ve posted this pic already but it’s the only one I have in my phone at the moment.

2001 LP Standard Plus, getting a 59 / Hybrid set with a Jimmy Page harness.

If the weekend goes reasonably well, I'm planning to wire her up on Monday.

My current obsession. Picked up this 59' Junior about 3 months ago. I love it!

You want to see Les Paul's what?

Re: Gibson Les Paul’s Lets See Them....

Re: Gibson Les Paul’s Lets See Them....

I’ve sold off or traded most of my Lesters because my back isn’t what it once was & I’ve been playing out pretty regularly recently. 10 years ago I could play two 45 min sets holding a 11lb LP the entire time but such is life...

That said I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of this one...

It may just be a Special but it’s the best playing Gibson I’ve ever played period! That coupled with TV Jones SuperTron’s (I know, the rings, I’ve got some black ones but they don’t fit as nicely?) & the other amenities I’ve loaded it with have made it into something really great!!!

Talk to me about what you did with the finish in the back of the neck....inquiring minds and all....

Honestly, just some 00 steel wool. No oil or anything after. Haven’t had any issue with it getting gummy and whatnot like some people said may happen. I may apply some down the road, but it pretty much stays nice and smooth.

Agree, sometimes take it to 000 or 0000 depending on the type of finish. -all of my guitars have their neck finishes knocked down -just down -not take it all. -it's pretty much the easiest and best feeling thing you can do to a guitar .

I don't own this anymore -but did in the late 90s until it was stolen, but will be reacquiring and am posting so it is considered for anyone looking for inspiration

I believe that the 1960 Les Paul Special DC with P90s in TV Yellow is the best feeling, playing and sounding combination Gibson has ever made in a solid body electric. They've only reissued like 3 times -but even the reissues are faithful that I've played.

My hand totally prefers the SG to a regular Les Paul if that gives you an idea of if you might prefer the LP Special DC over a Les Paul Standard. -to each his own.

Jesus man, those look extra amazing

-Gibson needs to specify a pool in the background at all their dealers locations -it really ties the room together.

They somehow need to be holding drinks in their hands with sunglasses.
