The only thing irrefutable here is that you've deliberately stirred up a bunch of crap for no good reason at all, and the rest of us think you're an ass. Time to move on. Go play your "real" Les Paul and leave us alone. Better yet, post some clips of you playing it -- it's about the only way you're going to gain any respect at this point.

it really, really sucks that they keep making their best guitars exclusive to the worst guitar stores in the damn country

it's like telling me i can get a free fillet mignon dinner but i have to eat it in the check-out line at Wal-Mart. i'd almost rather spend the extra money on a normal Trad and some P-Rails just to avoid the store...

GC has run all of the other shops out of here, so unless someone is willing to travel(I am, and I do), you're **** out of luck. Actually, unless you buy online, what else is left anymore?

In fact, my favorite store is closing up, as we speak. :15:

Wow. This went south in a hurry. I think they look badass and one just may be on my gas list! That said, I do agree with Jolly. Cream looks much better on a black Standard.

That's just it. GC knows they're the Walmart of the guitar world, and they seek out these exclusive deals to lure in people who otherwise have absolutely no reason to go there. Walmart might work out a deal that lets them sell product X for 30% less than somebody else, but most of the time I'm in a cash flow situation where I'd rather pay the extra money for the privilege of buying it somewhere other than Walmart.

I try to support my local stores but when they have nothing what I am supposed to do? I feel bad for buying stuff online and I have gear I will keep forever but there are no magical stories to go along with the gear like some people have. There are 3 store within an hour of me. 1 has nothing, like literally 2 or 3 guitars and no amps, they are heading under fast. One only has botique amps and ESPs and no pedals. They seem to be doing the best but I don't like ESPs and I can't afford amps that cost as much as all my gear combined. The last one is a real mom and pop store so I go there as much as I can but they don't have good hours for me. I work 8-4 every day and they are open 9-4 and not at all on the weekends so no hope there.... at least not over the summer.

Most of my stuff has been purchased on MF or through the forums as sad as that sounds.... but that's my only option.

This is me turning over a new leaf. I'm trying really hard not to crap in someone else's thread by feeding the troll, but it's really difficult. I'm easy to bait.

My favorite local store had everything, and GC has jack ****. I'm going to end up having to mail order everything, too.
