First off, I'm not including the P-100 or Sidewinders here, just the regular, ole P-90 ...
I could be wrong but my understanding is that Gibson P-90's are all the same. No neck or bridge model. Soapbar, Dogear ... different baseplates and covers, but all the same. Can anyone familiar with Gibson P-90's confirm this or otherwise enlighten me. Assuming they are all the same now, how long has that been the case? In other words, did they used to wind to different specs for neck and bridge and different guitars? Finally, are the current and recent Gibson P-90's any good?
ps. I don't feel entirely comfortable posting specifically about Gibson pickups here. I'm not sure if it's kosher. I'm not very active at all on other forums. So inactive that I'd probably would have to reset my passwords for lack of remembering them. At any rate, if the post is a no-no, SD mods/admin feel free to delete. I can take it.
