gibson pots?

i was just wondering, for no real reason, whats the value on a gibson explorer's volume pots?

the only way to tell is by the number stamped on the side of them...here is the gibson pot guide...

44071079 - long shaft "tone" pot, 100K audio in very late 70s through mid 1980s, 500K audio in 1990s up until today
44070034 - long shaft "volume" pot, 300K linear
44070028 - short shaft "volume" pot, 300K linear
44070035 - short shaft "tone" pot, 500K audio
44070500 - short shaft pots, 500K, used in recent Historics, the pots with the scary plastic insides

I would guess they are 500k..... replacement Gibson Brand pots i sold at a store i worked at were all 500K.

I Never knew there was that many different Gibson pots and figured they used 500k for everything..... That is really great to see info like that.

actually, they probably use 300 more than anything. I believe those are in SG's and Les Pauls.

My 76 Deluxe has stock original 500k's.... Did they use the 300's in p90 guitars?

PS- i never understood the difference between Audio and Linear pots? What is the difference again?
