Gibson raises prices

I'm actually more appalled at the fact that Seymour Duncan pickups are now on average $100 - $130. To me that's ridiculous. It's almost as if they jumped straight from $75 to those prices.

Dont worry fellas, Gibson is thinking ahead and incubating their next VP of customer experience/brand ambassador guy to ensure that the Gibson and Mesa quality and legacy is assured for the next generation

They did lol. What was the standard price in the 10s? I can't remember. The Jazz was $59 and the A2P $79?

$100+ for pickups is ridiculous.

New games are $70 dollars now. I just can't take it anymore.

I have no sympathy for you. Do you have too much time on your hands? I have a list of crap that I'd spend my time and money on before wasting it on video games lol. You can't practice or work on yourself or something?!

Paying money up front for video games is a double penalty.

Fender has gone up in price, Ibanez has gone up in price, eggs have gone up in price, beer has gone up in price, gas has gone up in price ...Over time everything goes up in price. Historically Gibson has raised prices in lockstep with inflation. As their manufacturing costs increase so does the cost to the consumer.

The price of wood has doubled since the start of the pandemic and energy costs have gone up 50% in most markets. Gibson raising their prices is no shocker.

I think it is in line with price jumps across industries now. If anything, I think they held on to a lower price too long. Seen the price of pedals lately?

The only thing this changes is whether or not customers still value the instruments enough to purchase them. If you don't believe they're worth the cost, that's fine. Don't buy one. If you do think they're worth the cost, then I hope you enjoy your new guitar.

Mcdonald's also jacked up the Big Mac price by 30c. Things are out of control.

Combos are like 10+ bucks now. Back in the 90s they introduced combos to save you money. Now they jack up the price of combos and you have to find stuff individually to save money.
