a lot of the SG specials and faded's that i've played have had real shi**y fretwork...very jagged and pokey. but, unlike the lower models, the SG standard has the binding on the neck, which does a lot for the feel of the guitar IMO. the fretwork has been very nice on every standard i've played.Quencho092 said:QC dude, QC.
Play 'em. I do believe that the real gibson SG might have better feel, but from my experience the frets tend to be real jagged.

muttonchopsrule said:really? i thought the opposite. i was really hesitant to take my SG apart to drop a JB in it because it already sounded so good stock. i thought the pickups were very usable, even the cleans came out sounding very good with that guitar.
