hi
my guitar has 490r 498t

but i am curious

i would like to have a standard with classic 57 and classic 57+

only if you have these 2 guitars, what's your favorite pickups for a sg standard or special ?

I have the 490R and 498T pick up combo in my 2008 Gibson chambered Les Paul Studio. They sound pretty damn good in that guitar. I find the '57 Classics sound a little bit like single coil pick ups. If you want a pick up that sounds like them but a bit cheaper, try Seth Lover's pick ups.

i would like to have a new sg standard 2017 hp with classic 57 pickups

in the demos, the classic 57 in the neck position has a beautiful blues sound

my 490r is powerful : perfect for john Sykes tones for example (even if he has a c57) but imo the c 57 will sound brighter than the 490r
so, not bad

With any new pickup you might need to make some adjustment to both it and your amp. With many guitars in your stable it becomes more of a compromise in settings, as you have to find the middleground to suit them all if you don't want to continually adjust.

Keep in mind, the 2017 model has the quick connect system, which a lot of people feel, ruins the tone. I'm not 100% sure about that tbh. I replaced mine for Whole Lotta Humbuckers. Personally I think the WLH's would sound better in a Les Paul. I guess whatever works for you.

If you have to choose between those two then definitely 57s.
However, if you widened your selection, you can get some really gorgeous tones out of an Sg.
