Give Me Some Advice...PLEASE!!

I have recently decided that I would prefer another amp instead of my Mesa Mark IV combo. I have posted on several websites that I would like to sell it or preferably trade it. So here is where I need some advice from some forum brothers, I was offered a brand new Framus 4X12 cab of my choice ($999 on Musiciansfriend.com) and $300 in exchange for my MkIV from a dealer on another board. My problem is the fact that a 4X12 is a little more than I need at the moment and Framus cabs do not come in 2X12 versions. My question to you is should I take the trade? I would be in need of an amp still if I did and I cannot afford to purchase one on top of the trade. How much could I sell the Framus cab for on eBay if I didn't use it?

It is a very inticing trade offer and I don't wanna pass it up if it's the best I may possibly get.

Please help me out guys.

Pass. Not a good trade. Especially if you don't want a 4x12 cab anyway. Put your Mesa on Ebay and just sell it.

I'd personally wait it out Lee. Seems like some extra hassle for you, if your just gonna turn around and sell the 4x12. Have you tried the Mesa on Ebay?

You probably know this, but just incase, do an advanced search on ebay to see what recentl Mark IV's have sold for. Just click on advanced search, enter Mesa Mark IV, and click on completed autions, and then search. That'll show you what to exect.

What others have said, definitely pass on the deal. The Framus is not going to sell for remotely what Musician's Friend is telling you it goes for (1000). Framus makes pretty good stuff, but they aren't as well known or quite the quality that others like Bogner are.

Sell the amp, save up for a new amp in the meantime, but don't buy a 4x12 if you're not ready for it, you'll just be spending money on something that won't really help you out right away or be useful.
