How about reading a few of my posts before accusing me of something like that. Damn. I've been here since April '04 and have fewer than 1000 posts - can you really call me a post whore?

Anyway...

I went back and read this whole thread AGAIN and still found no post where he gave some reason that a Splawn wouldn't work for him. Yes, I know he's happier with his Engl now that he's using a 4x12, but I stand by my assertion that if his ideal tone is similar to an JCM800 with a tubescreamer in front of it, I know of no better amp than a Splawn Quickrod.

One of my buddies bought a used Splawned Marshall with the quickrod....hehe FUUUUNNNN!!!

And Alex...you will be named Baka from now on
And throw the POS Dinosaurio in the wastebucket while you are at it....hehe

No, I'd say you're sane - like I said, I was going for BIG emphasis. For souped-up Marshall tones, Splawn does it as well or better than anybody, and they're very reasonably priced for hand-wired boutique amps.

I'd imagine them being somewhat expensive to get over here unless you can find a used one, but what do I know..The Danish government and their insane taxes for import goods.

I hadn't considered that. You guys get breaks on Euro stuff though, right? If that's the case, I envy your prices on Diezel gear.

That's correct, there isn't any problem if it's from another EU country. Only if it's from a country outside the EU.

Not really, but I got the ENGL up higher on the MV... It allmost made me shat myself, so good it sounded.

I tried a few Tubescreamers though, and I think I might get a TS-9 to get more aggressive mids.

I tried a Dist+ today too, I like it!!!
