I have a good friend who owns a Komet. He has had lots of gear over the years and has an amazing ear for tone. He says the Komet is by far the best sounding Amp he has ever had. For those of you who are not familiar with these marvelous amps..... They are made and based on Trainwreck circuits. My buddy Cris just made a flame maple cabinet for this Komet. What a great Amp!!!

I'm listening to the new Knopfler album and it's superb if you like his style. Much better than his last one (Ragpickers dream) if you ask me. The "Tupelo" song has some really great just-on-the-edge of distortion stuff. This must be the part where he's talking about "digging in" a bit. Classic Knopfler. He's definitely lost the rock and roll thing as he's matured. Got quite a bit of country feel to his last 3 or 4 albums. Easy on the ears though.
