what's a good blues instructional video? Not so much which songs you learn to play but moreso one that will give me a good feel for the genre & how to write bluesy stuff & solos & such

have the Warren Haynes blues video. Most of the stuff he goes over
I already knew, But hearing it from him helped me put it in perspective .

If you can find "rockin' the blues" by Keith Wyatt, buy it immediately. One of the best instructional videos ever made. Wyatt was a GIT instructor when he made this, and his experience teaching really shows through.
It covers three common rhythm styles, turnarounds, starts and endings, the BB and Albert King styles, and lots of soloing ideas. It's aimed at a rock player who may know a little about pentatonic soloing, but wants to get an authentic blues feel in his playing.
Really great stuff. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I like Robben Ford's instruction videos. One is called the Blues and Beyond and it gets jazzy too.
Also, check out Kenny Blue Ray's instruction videos. He'll take you through all kinds of styles: T Bone Walker, BB King, Albert Collins, Albert King, etc. Kenny is a great player...one of the very best.
Just do a quick search for Kenny Blue Ray and you'll find his website.
Kenny's a great guy. I know him a little bit.
