so, did i make the right choice?
no turning me back, i've already ordered it :)

sold my mt-2 and waiting for the Sd-1.

back when i thought more gain meant better sound, boy i was wrong :laugh2:

now i find that i can sound plenty heavy without lots of gain, and im starting to dislike the buzziness of extreme high gain..

well that's it guys!

gonna go pick up my sd-1 on next tuesday

Very cool man! I used to keep my gain maxed out, never could get enough. Now, I keep it just over 5, and sometimes in a band situation, at 4. You only need enough to give your single notes some mojo!

I was gonna post the same discovery you just posted about a week or so ago. I used to think the more gain, the better, but now I only use half of the gain I used to...... Billie of GreenDay really proved to me on their newest release that you don't need to crank the gain to where your distortion is annoyingly buzzy (as said by Benji) to sound heavy. IMO the tone on GreenDay's new album brings new meaning to distortion and gives rock somewhat of a new flavor tonewise........ :32:

I'm in lurve with my SD-1. I keep A/Bing it with my Spina-modded TS9DX and just giggling with tonal glee.

Re: Good bye MT-2, Welcome SD-1

i used to have a Boss HM-2 and MZ-2 - pretty much the distant ancestors of the MT2.. the MZ had some use as a metal rhythm pedal, but i could never get on with the HM-2 hehe - i've only seen one since i sold mine, and that was to change the ACA to PSA (old to new, i forget which is which) for a mate..
