Now that ive given you a friendly greeting, maybe now you would consider giving me some help in return? Im a tube amp noob, I've only used the Line 6 amps (Spiders and Flextones), which I have been satisfied with up till now, but I think its time to make the jump. Basicly im in a black/speed metal band (The Black Dahlia Murder, Children of Bodom ect) and need a decent tube amp head. Im willing to spend up to $1500 on the amp head, and could you also recomend me a cab to go with it? Im using a Dean Z 79' with EMG HZ-H4 (H4A in neck).

Ive heard many recomendation, but so many people recomend a hi-gain monster, some a softer and use a tubescreamer, some vintage and a distortion pedal? Can anyone help please? You might just get another greeting if your advice is helpfull!

i happen to think a DSL50 can cover alot of ground

or maybe go to guitar center and ask the nearest kid wearing makeup and fishnet on arms

There are different camps of thought, but I'm of the opinion that if you can get a great clean sound from your guitar and amp, then you can probably tinker around untill with pedals untill you get a great distorted sound too . . . but then again I don't play death metal . . .
