Andy installed my Seymour Duncan Seth Lovers in the Washburn J6 .. I get compliments everywhere on the tone and the sound .. I should ave put them on the guitar when I bought it 25 years ago. It's really a Gibson L-5 now. Thanks to Andy. So the set up is important too (the lower action, the bridge placement ("E" centers at
open and 12th fret on both the top the two "D's" on 2nd and 3rd strings ... the two "G's" the two F's .. and they ought to all be centered on the tuner if the bridge is correctly set.
Moze does this too .. both are great. Alan's music in La Mesa is also a great place .. not as guitar focused. Old Time Music on University and Utah is very good BUT acoustic mostly.
I do not trust just anybody with my guitars. I hate to say that. But you learn by experience.
I need to find a good amp repair guy and so far I haven't been able to find one.
