Got a New Boss RT-20 Rotary Pedal Today

A friend of mine, a very good local bass player, knew I was looking for pedal with the Leslie sound. He had used one on a few gigs and loved it and a friend of his, a keyboard man, also got one and fell in love with it too. I played with it a little, knew I would need to tweak for a bit, but I found 3 sounds that are very good and with a little more work I can make them great and I may find others too.

Do any others have experience with this pedal? What settings did you find to work well with guitar?

I will update as I gain more time and experience with the RT-20.

No responses to this cool new pedal, come on guys. It will make you sound better than Clapton and George Harrison almost instantly. Perhaps Lew would share a word or two about about how cool a guitar sounds through a Leslie.

The video demo impressed me. The way it makes a guitar sound like an organ is really cool.

Does it suck tone? How useful is the effect? Any drawback?

Not that many reviews/info on this pedal yet. I haven't had a chance to try one yet, but it should be pretty awesome like most of the other 20 version Boss pedals. I got the MagicBoy vibe on my board but it won't likely be replaced.

How is it? I was debating between that and the Line 6 Roto-Machine. THe Roto-Machine is pretty good, I'm not a Leslie-holic, I just like the sounds of them, and it works for me. Actaully, I run my POG through it to get even more organ like tones.

someone said about the "organ" sound of the pedal, but hey, in the roland/namm video, the guy was using a midi pickup!
