Yeah, I messed with compression a bit. It's hard to tune just right on this one, because too much, and it gets buried, to little and it jumps. I figure, this band is singer-centric anyways, so having it a bit more out front isn't bad. Also, I tried to monitor on a lot of different setups so I could judge real-world listening. Also, this was done with a relatively cheap setup, too. So, I am sure with some time and a little investment, I could definitely do more.

heres a suggestion:
are you shooting for a mainstream sound, or something straight up rock oriented?
the vocals are good in the mix right now if youre looking for a comercial sound, though *I* myself would lower them 2 -5 dB.

It's going to be marketed with the vox as the fronting of the band, so I am thinking the vox more out front is the way to go. They started by doing family entertainment stuff with canned CD backing, and then upgraded to band. I have a feeling we'll be sticking with that format due to the singers all being siblings, there being 5 of them, and they want to keep it together as a unit. Which is cool, IMHO. Again, to address the drums, I need to do some more experimentation on mics and such, and the cool thing is, I can retain that project for later so I can go back and drop in a better drum track.
