Got an ADA mp-1 help

Reckless Abandon

New member
$180 free ship, nice deal. Went through patches and found some usable. I then tried to create my own, problems....

Anyone know how to save a patch? I followed manual but not saving.

Thanks

Re: Got an ADA mp-1 help

I've always wanted an MP1 but never pulled the trigger on one (at least not yet) and in my research read that that's a common problem on them. The internal battery (it's like a flat watch battery) is what stores presets in the memory and when it dies you can't save presets. If yours was never changed you'll have to desolder the stock battery, solder in a battery holder and put in a new battery.

;) I lived through that age......they all made noise.....have used and heard quite a few of those.
The chorus is sweet too.
Well when you turn up both 1&2 it gets noisy....good hotrodded British sounds.....

Re: Got an ADA mp-1 help

I don't find it noisy how I am using it. I have been going through the loop in my 6505. Good tones to be had in there. Doesn't replace the 6505 or my modded 800 but nice to play with. Cleans are really cool.

Not sure on doing mod. Even though I work on guitar a lot it scares me going into an amp/preamp.

You would think someone would have developed an aftermarket flash upgrade by now. These things are sick!! I always found it necessary to still use an overdrive and I always really liked them.

I want on of these, a JMP-1 and a Triaxis.

I like the idea of infinity. :D

I want one of these, a JMP-1

Whenever I listen to old Type O Negative (their guitar player used an MP-1 and apparently the chorus is very nice) or any Mr. Bungle/Faith No More's King for a Day Fool for a Lifetime (Trey Spruance used a JMP-1), I really want one of these old, rusting preamps.

I don't think Marshall will start reissuing rack stuff any time soon.
