That makes a total of three of us! (You, me, and the one guy I can't remember, maybe in Rocket From the Crypt or the Supersuckers?)
I have an original 1973 Traynor YBA, does that count?
Probably Supersuckers (who are great) -As I can't remember John Reis ever playing one -and I've seen him play 100 times.
Anybody ever own any of the Yorkville Bass Amp stuff from the 90s or 00s. -especially the YB400?
A friend of mine has an older Yorkville combo. BMT-something, I think. (Maybe it was YB-something.) It's one of the best sounding bass amps I've ever heard. It has 15" and a tweeter. The strange thing is, if you go to Yorkville's website, they've gotten completely out of the bass amp market. Just seems weird given that they made such a great product.
They exited the guitar market in the 70s when they were in the middle of making some of the best amps too -they were called Traynor then
When you got the crabs, you got the bluesObviously it's a pedal... but where did they come up with the whack name?
"Hey guys made this new prototype stompbox... I'm gonna name it... (thinking)... Blues Crab"
That's like making a new stompbox and naming it (going with theme):
Ska Squid
Djent Anemone
Blooz Barnacle
Rock Herring
Dubstep Dolphin
Metal Shrimp
and my favorite... Soul Minnow
Continuing theme with a twist:
Distortion Lobster
Chorus Crustacean
Phaser Whale
Sea Cucumber Overdrive
Octopus Harmonizer
Plankton Flanger
...talk about non-sequitur naming conventions...
Count yourself lucky for that.We have a Blue Crab festival every year here in Florida. But I've never heard of Crab Blues. But I'm sure there's lots of things I haven't heard of.
