Got my 8! Quickly recorded a lame little clip..

So I got my 8 and i recorded a crappy little clip. Not mixed or anything, and the bass is octaved but i go wayy too low for the bass in this clip i think its as low as Db on the heavy part haha, i badly need thicker strings for the bass now.
Its a really short clip, first riff is that djenty riff, second is just a short clean riff that uses all 8 strings... (the second clip was recorded in standard tuning but a half step down i think...)

I think it sounded very good. It isn't as bad as you make it out to be at all.

nah but i mean it could be so much better, i just sorta stuck it into an existing mix and used existing patches, i need to sit down and tweak this mo haha!

Misha that thing Rocks man!It owns your 7s as well.I don't think that the patches are bad.Maybe you just have to get "used" to the sound.It sounds amazing i think!!!!

That sounds awesome, I was thinking 8 strings were a bit cheesy when I saw that thread.. but you just changed my mind on that. It sounded brutal, and completely unique at the same time.

Bulb, I've got a question for you regarding your riffs themselves. I've only listened to one Meshuggah album, & your style strikes me as being similar to theirs. My question is this: it sounds like 98% of your rifs (& theirs) are single-note based; that is, not many chords, even two-note power chords. Almost all of the riffs sound like single-note patterns to me. Am I correct in thinking this?

Its made by a guy called Jesse Hall, and the guitars are Illustrated Guitars.
He only really has a myspace and an email right now cuz he is just starting out with his own thing. He used to work for ESP custom shop before.
