so today felt like christmas morning when i got to open up my 2-channel dual recto that finally came in the mail today.
$1265, shipped to my door, came with the footswitch and the vynal cover, and fresh groove tubes throughout the whole amp.
this thing sounds AMAZING. even at 100 watts, i find it easy enough to get good tone out of it without cranking it to unreasonable levels (granted what i consider reasonable (in a band practice situation), others may not). the clean channel is a little bit of a sacrifice from my single recto, but i was amazed to see that the clean channel can go from crystal clean to a surprisingly decent rock gain with the turn of a single knob. that makes up for it in itself.
and as for the distortion channel, well of course that what these amps are known for. compared to the single recto, this thing sounds much more open, more organic if you will. i absolutely love the tone i'm getting out of this amp after having played through it for two hours.
definitely a good buy.
ps.
more pictures will more than likely come soon
