Got myself a new amp!

Yeah, I have been talking about for some time now, that I wanted to replace the ENGL with a Marshall.

Yesterday, I made it serious.. I did some talking with mr. Rid, and checked out a JMP Super Lead 100w from 1977, but it was in semi-bad condition, and it was too expensive.... Then I checked a Re-issue Super Lead 100w, but it was way too expensive.

With my dreams of getting a proper Marshall wasted, I decided to check out a new Marshall JCM2000 DSL 100watt head, and I was blown away. It was one of the best Marshall heads I have heard!! The TSL sucks, but the DSL was amazing..So I asked Rid, and we both agreed that Marshall did do good things some times

Hey cool man, you're right on with that. The DSL 100's are cool... the 60's not so good and the TSL's not so good either! Enjoy.......

Hahah my first Marshall was a JCM900 4501 combo, so this is a definate improvement, that piece of crap didnt do any wonders for anybody.. Actually Jan still has it, down in Orkestergraven... He wants 750Dollars for it...

I dunno what I will do next time... Maybe a JCM800 2203?

ya i've heard other players say the DSL is better then the TSL..... i wonder why? and the 100 has often been said to be better then the 60...

You're better off with it bros! Them Plexis and even 2203JMPs (MV) are probably less your kind of amp than the DSL100. And waayyyy too loud. You did the right choice. Now throw away your tubescreamer.

i've heard that a lot!! to be fair a DSL 50 or 100 has all the necessary features and sound fine.. TSLs always feel like overkill to me!

Yup... The cool thing is that this head nails all the great tones, both early and late Maiden, Priest etc.

Yeah the TSLs are waaay too buzzy sounding.. Way too much gain, not enough tone quality.

there's been DSL 401 mods posted on the net a few times..

i think i might go for it- there's the option to add a bright switch! all that buzziness is one freakin' chain of caps! one in each channel.

i'd do a few things, effects loop volume etc. i'll make a photo thread!
