Got rid of my Mobius

After debating for a couple of months, I finally pulled the Mobius off my board and sold it. Don't get me wrong, it is a KILLER unit, but I barely used any of the effects. I used a couple of the "bit crusher" sounds on the last album I was part of, but 99% of the time it was on I was running the trem.

So, I sold it and picked up a Flint & Micro POG. Anyone else drop the Mobius despite loving what it could do?

Re: Got rid of my Mobius

I can relate. I had a TimeLine and sold it because I just wasn't really using it to it's full extent. The audio quality was superb but I felt like I was using a Lamborghini to go to the corner store for milk, if you know what I mean. I went back to my DD20.

I have been wanting a Mobius because I switch around my mod effects all the time. I have a Boss Super Chorus and a Duncan Shape shifter and I use them all the time on clean stuff. I love playing with the colors of different mod effects. But if that turns out to be overkill too, I'll get the effects I use the most in single pedal form. :D

I loved the concept of the Mobius when it was announced and got on the pre-order list, and was sufficiently blown away when I got it. Each effect sounds great, but for the styles of music I play in my two bands (P&W, Americana-ish rock) I just have no real need for phasers or envelope filters. I did use the AM radio/megaphone style bit crusher a couple of times live, but my bread and butter was the trem.

Speaking of which, my first few minutes with the Flint I grabbed out of this whole ordeal have been pleasant. The harmonic trem can get downright Univibe-y with the intensity up and the speed low, and the 80's reverb is nice and ethereal with the decay nearing full.
