After seeing the references to Laz Gajic (Kammo1) and the JCF I´m a bit confused: This isn´t something that LAZ made, or?? He´s known for absolutely top notch work like TO´s neck....

Seriously, where did you have these parts made/ Who made them?

oh NO NO NO...sorry for the confusion. as fretfire said, i noted tha Laz made a comment on the poor input jack location and that i had found a link about his project on the JCF which lead to a large post on the kramer forums. confusing...sorry.

Laz did NOT IN ANY WAY make this junk. i've seen his work and read reviews and all i hear are great things!!

I suppose I should find out how much of a partial refund he's thinking and go from there.

No, you shouldn't. You didn't pay with the intention of getting second rate goods, so why stick with them? The only way I'd keep those would be if I got a full refund, and I'd only keep them to practise and learn tech work on.

Good point. Dammit why did he have to go ruin such beautiful pieces of wood :smack:.

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

Just get a full refund and do something else with the money. You'll never be happy with those pieces of junk.

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

fret, sorry to hear that. hope you get a full refund and a better axe.

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

Damn fret, that ****ing sucks.

yea.. i was a bit worried once he mentioned kammo1 cos i'm in the process of ordering a guitar from him .. but it didnt sound like anything of his work..

*edit*

oh, you supplied the link .. nevermind this lol

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

I'm sorry to hear this... Was he drunk when he built that thing??? :cussing: It could've been a nice guitar, the wood's really beautiful. What a shame...

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

From the looks of it, maybe he's the same guy who builds the Esteban guitars!

Sheeesh, even Sam Ash brand Carlo Robelli's are higher quality than that!

Or perhaps we works for.....shhhh.....Gibson. :D

Seriously, get ALL of your money back, then buy a plane ticket to where he lives and beat him senseless with a stupid stick for doing p*ss poor work and wasting a perfectly good hunk of wood. :D :D

Ok, so maybe it's not all that serious but with that kind of work, it sounds like a good idea.

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

sorry if im goofy but who the heck made this guitar ( or tried to make it) ?

what is the name of the company or the guy???

i didnt get it?

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

Full refund = no more headache.

Sounds like you've had enough already. Put this behind you and move on. Everytime I've started with crap I've ended up with the same. Even if you make it functional your time could be much better spend on a project you'll be happy with in the end. Good luck bro.

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

The sad thing is that it really doesn't need a lot of work done to it, it's just that the things it DOES need can be somewhat of a pain. I've spoken with a few people and if the guy will refund half of my money I may keep the parts and have someone clean them up into useable condition. There's some serious potential here (neck profile feels GREAT, body and neck both resonate like crazy via tap tests), but I definitely have some thinking to do.

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

Another sad part is that the prices on that website are actually quite resonable. Personally, I'd be all for trying to fix it yourself instead of giving up. Make sure you get every penny out of them that you can though.

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

Man....that's an ugly cut of wood to be doing a clear finish on.

But that's some real garbage craftsmanship on the axe itself.

Tell him next time to take the blindfold off before he starts working.

Re: Got the black limba JS parts in...

Well he's agreed to a full refund, I'm sending the parts back today.
