Got the Classic 50!!! (cheesecake shots inside!)

Re: Got the Classic 50!!! (cheesecake shots inside!)

My Classic 30 does high gain, it's crunchier than KFC crispy chicken once you get the master volume up past like 4, it will really open up. (it goes to 12) I run a DS1 as a boost for solos, but i'm looking for a replacement.

Sweet deal, Bro! Are you gonna get one of those Tonebone units to switch between heads, or just do one at a time?

i used a Boss DS2 in front of my C30 at a jam a few weeks back and it was good..... the DS2 has a setting that sounds just like a DS1.... i own 2 DS1's as well..

i do the same with an Axess-Electronics.com HS2 to switch between the C50 head and a 5150 head

Very cool! Any chance of posting some clips?

I used the amp in practice today... this amp is probably going to go 50/50 with the Legacy on future Branches recordings. As chops said, this amp REALLY translates well to tape!

stupid question following ...

does it do high gain well??

Pairing up the drive channel with the OCD serves up some great British hard rock crunch. I wouldn't use it for metal, though.

Nope, no head switching here. I don't have roadies yet. :laugh2: I'll most likely use the C50 for smaller gigs and the Legacy for larger ones. And as I said I'll choose the amp on a per-song basis for recordings. Pairing the drive channel up with an OCD pedal... WOW. That setup really talks when it gets going!

I think I'm gonna leave the red light the way it is. I like red lights on tweed amps.

Thanks for all the congratulations, guys.
