Gotta Bring Up An Old Post(Texas Hot Antiquity)

I bought the Texas Hot Antiquity pickups from Lew(Gypsy Blue)and ever since,I have not been able to stop playing this strat with these pickups in it..This is a really nice American Deluxe Strat with an alder body(Same strat in my avatar picture)...I hardly ever played this guitar before that because the pickups I had in it before were uninspiring...I always thought it was the guitar overall until I got these pickups into it..I had replaced the original noiseless(toneless I call em) pickups with an SSL6 in the bridge and Fender Fat 50 middle and neck...I sold those and have never looked back now that I have these pickups in my guitar...I own 5 strats but this has been the one and only strat I've played....I have to put another plug in for my buddy Lew and his great prices, great products, fast shipping, and just being an overall great guy to deal with and a friend...Thanks again Lew....;)

Thanks John! I feel the same way about the Texas Hots in my Strat and it's the same thing: that's the one that gets played.

But guess what? My EVH/78 Trembucker is ready to ship from the Duncan Custom Shop and when that comes in I'm going to remove the Texas Hot Custom Bridge pickup and try the EVH with the neck and middle Texas Hots.

Still looking for the ultimate Super Strat...

A word about the Texas Hot Custom Bridge pickup tho: it's still the best vintage style Strat bridge replacement pickup I've ever used...I just want to hear the EVH humbucker!

;)

Lew...Didn't you love the 59 you had in the bridge of that strat? Wondering what happened?

All 3 of the Texas Hots will stay in that American Deluxe in my situation..If I bring more than one guitar to a practice or to a gig,one is always this strat..The tone is to die for with these pickups and I see another set from you in my future buddy. ;)

I do like the 59 Trembucker alot and that's my favorite humbucker for a Super Strat so far...but right now that's in a differant guitar: my single pickup Strat. The guitar I just mentioned had a set of Fralin Blues Specials for the neck and middle pickups and a Duncan JB Trembucker just prior to the Duncan Antiquity set that's in it now. ;) I've got a bunch of Strats...but except for my old '63, they're all excellant but inexpensive MIJ Strats I bought cheap over the years...under $300. Actually, I only paid $350 for my '63...in 1974! ;) Lew
