Anybody use graphite picks? I'm looking at some 2mm dunlops.

I don't think the ones I use (dunlop gators) are graphite but I run the 2.0 mm. I absolutely love those thick picks. What is the difference with graphite? I would think you'd have graphite powder all over the front of your guitar after you play. At least you could sweep it up and lube something with it afterwards :laugh2:

They're discontinued. I've never used them before, but was checking out Trey Anastasio's gear, and saw that he used them. Given that I am required to try out any pick I've never tried before, I found some on ebay, and was just curious to see if they suck or anything.
Apparently, Jerry Garcia used the same ones.

That's what I'm looking at. I don't remember where I read that Jerry used them, so that could be wrong.
What are the differences between them and something like a Fender pick, or a Tortex?

I use the Adamas 2.0 graphites as well -- on both electric and acoustic. I won't use anything else. I got mine at BigCityStrings.com. They must've been discontinued recently, because I was on their site a few months ago to get a refresher set. Wish I had. :smack:

Hmmm.... if I don't lose them, would 5 last me awhile? Perhaps I should buy two packs of them.
