Graphtech Saddles?

I've been wanting to replace the saddles on my hardtail strat for while as i've heard so many great things about them, but which ones are the best, or ones that people have the best experience with.

I'm looking at the String Savers & the Tusq saddles. Not the ferraglides.

Thanks

Re: Graphtech Saddles?

I've had a lot of luck with the String Savers. There are a lot of threads in here about GraphTech. They certainly made my Strats and Teles more useful.

Re: Graphtech Saddles?

I like the graphtecs on the modern 2 point american bridges. I don't find the impact the tone a great deal, although I do hear some slight warming of tones...which I personally don't mind. I dislike them greatly on the vintage 6 screw bridges, because they do not make a graphtec that looks like a vintage saddle, and I like things to look correct.

But from a pure functionality standpoint, they are one of the better guitar parts on the market, IMO.

Re: Graphtech Saddles?

I replaced all the saddles on all my gutiars with the Stringsavers. I didn't notice much of any tonal difference. I've had them on most guitars for around 4-5 years. Best $30 you'll ever spend. Aside from string breakage, you also get the added benefit of the guitar staying in tune because the strings don't bind in the saddle.

LesStrat needs a set...but it's not high on the GAS list at the moment:smack:
