Been a while since I posted anything. Check this out, a sample clip of my new Dunlop Crybaby Classic wah pedal. It's been many years since I had a wah, so I still need to work on technique.

What do you think (besides the off-tune bending)?

What guitar do yo think this is too? It's a bit different, I'm borrowing it from a friend for a bit.

Sounds great! Nice playing, really porn-soundtrack ish! :)

ALF, good to hear your playin again! You won't believe this but just last week I thought it was about time to record something. I set up the same backing track and was about to put some guitar down and ran out of time, went away for business last week and come back to find you did a piece over it. Too scary.

Hey!!! YOU !!!

That's Robben Ford's "Help The Poor"!!! Show some respect!! LOL j/k

Its weird. Everyone who heard me playing "Help the poor" in the car - asks me "What the heck is this, porn music???". Then I always snap at them - and talk about how they don't know good music.

Nice playing Alvee! You got a really professional sound. Yep pretty much perfect - i wouldn't add or subtract anything from the guitar sound!

Re: Greetings fellow earthlings :)

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I know the intonation is off on some spots. I'm not real used to this guitar. It's a buddy's guitar that I rewired for him, an old Electra LP copy from the early 70s. His bridge pickup died, so I put all the electronics from my old Epi Dot in there. Epi humbuckers, pots and switch.

I might build myself one of these, it's got a cool funky sound unlike a regular LP.

Hey Al, great minds think alike, eh? :)

Re: Greetings fellow earthlings :)

nice sound there, ALF ... i like your phrasing too - you pick chord tones that really bring out the flavour of the changes ... very subtle use of the wah too - not at all cartoonish (like, say, when i use one :D ) ...

any chance you could make the backing track available?

cheers,

Re: Greetings fellow earthlings :)

Ah, thanks! I could email the backing to anyone who wants it. My website is full at the moment so I have no place to upload it to. Any good free websites for doing this kind of thing? A lot of the ones I've looked at are setup for photosharing, one even had a limit of 1 MB file sizes uploaded!

Re: Greetings fellow earthlings :)

Hey Alvin, you could E-mail it to me at my E-mail adress Erlgro@hotmail.com, and then i can upload it to my personal server!

Cool?
