I have only played the old ones. The Gretsch Twin Reverb is one of the coolest amps I have ever played. Really love the grind on it. I can't see spending any cash on this new stuff when the same brands vintage counterparts sound as good if not better. Gibson is the same way.

Yeah, I've got one from the late 40s/early 50's that sounds sweet, and I've got a 65? 6150 that just ROCKS. No $h!t with a strat bridge I come SO close (but not quite) to Page's sound on Led Zeppelin I. I guess cuz it's made by Valco? Anyway, they're great amps.
The new ones I believe are made by Victoria amps. Not sure about that, but I've read it somewhere.
