Ground issue

Help, I'm sure there is a grounding thread someplace but I couldn't find one. Here is my issue:

Bought a new Jackson JS32T Rhoads with cheap pickups. Installed a Dimebucker bridge, Jazz neck, and removed the tone control. I'm getting a horrible hum, which goes away when I touch the jack plate or the toggle switch metal parts. Does not go away by just touching the strings. I've checked and doubled checked the wiring using a SD diagram for two humbuckers and one volume and it all seems correct. Obviously I have a bad ground someplace. It is not EMI or a shielding issue since prior to my tinkering it was fine. Any thoughts?

Re: Ground issue

If the noise doesn't change when you touch the strings then the bridge is not grounded.
