Hey guys I have my 64 Bandmaster up on the bench right now, as last fri it worked perfect before the show than when i plugged it in an hr away from home it decided to sound like a machine gun going off! A guy i get a lot of help from said it could be moisture from the original 64 caps boiling off so i ordered a new set of F&T i think they were called! One other issue it has is the vibrato, when i turn knobs down (off) and have always on switch in the rca jack i get a slight pop through the speakers. if the always on plug is pulled it goes away. Happens in my 68 super and my 64 bandmaster with the 2 plugs i made for them. My 72 twin is fine oddily enough. All 3 plugs i use the rca plug from the original foot switchs bend a wire and braid together stick in the plug and solder it together. Is it safe to bypass the ground switch entirely on these 3 amps and than run the cable for the vibrato rca jack to one side of the ground switch and have a actuall on/ off switch for it? Is this a dumb idea? Other thing i have thought about is just building me a on/off pedal but im all about simple to be honest! Thanks for any help and the bandmaster and super are ab763 circuits the twin im not sure on. Tube chart dont say!
