The more I play them the more I like them. They don't sound that perfect to me but they are decent. Might try to mess with the height to make them a bit warmer. The pup cover I'm slapping on it might improve their tone too.

:)

Great looking guitar Luis! I actually like the 3 x single Cyclone that they brought out later. It's a shame they're discontinuing them.

Thanks, I'd have bought any in the Cyclone range (good price, good, hardware) but this was my favourite version, the Cyclobe II (the one with the 3 pups) would be second and the CHH 3rd.

The problem with the CII is that the pups are jaguar pups, if I didn't like them I'd have to route the guitar.

Dangly, this one isn't getting a racing stripe, but I'm still thinking of putting a pinup girl on it ;)

A bought one, yes, this will be my last (unless something happens to it, knock on wood).
Still entertaining the idea of someday making one myself but now I can't justify it, I bet I could coax anything out of this baby and a better amp (trying some sims on my computer now).

As far as pimping... I don't know, it looks great as far as colours go, it's pretty unique and an oditty. As far as hardware... now that's another story. It sounds good right now but I bet with time an upgrade in tuners and bridge might be in order, not to mention something special in the electronics (more than likely a split as it already has series/parallel, in a way).

Right now, I just want to slap a brunt chrome pup cover on the bucker :D

Thanks.

No, definitely do not change the finish - it's amazing. I agree with the chrome pickup cover - that would look great. If you wanted to upgrade the hardware, I would start with new tuners and a new nut. The bridge is probably fine for now.

Overall, very cool.

After having it for a couple of days I gotta say, no need for tuners or nut at this point. The tuning has held up well. Might change my mind if I can't get my head around how they restring these tuners :laugh2: Maybe then I'll think about the nut... or if I up the strings and brake it while filing it:chairfall

The bridge is probably gonna get blocked. Ain't using it. Then again since It's not de-tunning the guitar or influencing the tone (as far as I can tell) I might leave it.

All in all, the cover might be the only mod I ever do to it. Maybe a pinup girl sticker but that might get tacky.

Well, off to play it. Haven't played so much in a long time and the funny thing is my finger tips are getting harder but aren't hurting. :D
