Pretty spectaculaR! What was the name of those single coil pickups in a humbucker housing made for Hamer that are not Phat Cats. This would be a perfect shot to garner a set of those pickups.

There's no way I can participate though I would love to. I own a Hamer Daytona and I love it! I work that day and internet access for anything other than work is a firing offense. My workday starts at 7:30 am and ends at 5:30 pm eastern. Just my luck...

Too cool --- shows that Seymour Duncan and Jol Dantzig are still players' manufacturers. Big thanks to all for the opportunity.

My Strat with the new neck is in bad need of a setup :scratchch

I'm quite excited! I can barely put it into words.

Now seeing as I won last time I shouldn't be included anyway but what if an international winner were to agree to pay for his/her shipping both ways?

Of course all international participants should agree to be included and to pay for shipping BEFORE the appointed time or say a "I hereby agree blah blah blah" as a P.S. at the post.

I know this complicates things some but perhaps it'll offer a fighting chance to some more bros :)

I wouldn't necessarily ask Jol about recreating any pointy headstock era guitars.
All the tooling, ect is destroyed from that era.
And whatever you do don't mention this guy:

I had a conversation with Jol on Nov 13 1996, at an exhibition in Washington, D.C,, where Les Paul was speaking, I met Ted McCarty, Paul Reed Smith, many people and when I reached the Hamer booth.
It was fresh in my mind the leaving of Steve Stevens from Hamer and the ethnic cleansing following his departure, like Steve had never been there.
This was post the same scenario at Washburn, where Steve lasted less than a year in 1993, with them. I asked Jol in all innocence what had happened with Steve (a loyal SD user for many years by the way), he just said, and I quote "I would have coffee any day with Steve, but as far as working together again...." Long pause and that was it.
So as previously mentioned I wouldn't ask about the resurgence of the Centura model, ect.
Sure Hamer makes great hand built guitars, but they are with respect, older player type guitars..the eighties era is over. Maybe not for some of us, but for Hamer, yes..

WOW!! Just catching up on the offer.. All my guitars are pretty set for pickups (most all have duncans) But I have never had a pro setup done on any of my guitars... Which to chose???

Doesnt matter, I never win anything anyhow...haha

Yngwie308,
I have to admit, that was a pretty classy response.. No dissing etc..

Who did not lust for a Hamer in '89-'90?

I need more guitars like a hole in the head, but a Centura would be sweet.

Suhr seems to do well enough with a superstrat, so no reason Hamer could not as well.

holy crap! i'm just now reading this and i've gotta say this is very cool of both Seymour and Jol:)

Maybe it's just me, but I think everyone over the age of 30 and under the age of 50 needs at least one super-strat if they ever liked or listened to metal of any sort. I fell into the "I hate super strats" crowd after owning a US Fender HM Strat with a deplorable Kahler tremelo system on it that was a disaster. It took me over a decade to get over owning that one crappy guitar. Now I like them again, but I only want OFR guitars now.

OT somewhat, but what was wrong with the kahler?

So Jol, any idea how many mini Standards have been built and how many Limba?

Initially I wasn't a fan of the Duncan Distortion bridge and Pearly Gates neck combo on this until I had it about 10 days and them BLAM!!! The way it worked hit me. Great lil guitar.
