guitar and a bass amp

felt like playing some jazz chords and a bit of Wes Montgomery octave soloing today. didn't want to warm up the tube amp so I used my little solidstate bass amp.
Did that before several times with archtop guitars, but never with a solidbody. then - don't ask me why - i turned on the treble boost of my Strat Elite to 10 (which is normally quite unusable) and ....

MAN!!! what a sweet twangy funky clean sh** comes out!!! :32: Popping the strings produces that great slap effect only known from a bass, but somehow completely different.

I'm really enamored because of that finding.
The only problem is that I wanted to sell this amp and now I have to get the money somewhere else.

Please tell your experiences with bass amps.

Greez, Chris

Re: guitar and a bass amp

I used to only use a randall bass amp with a boss distortion infront of it. Still dont know why I stopped using that setup. Gave me awsome thick, thundering, heavy tones. Didn't really have the volume I needed though.

Theres great tones to be had with the wierdest of stuff.
