guitar center steal

got a boogie 1x12 thiele at guitar center yesterday. it's used, but i snagged it for $109 out the door. it has a 90 watt celestion in there right now, which i think is their black shadow speaker. it sounds incredibly full, but i think i may load it with a greenback, or something else to compliment my 18 watt head that i built. can't wait to bring the 18 watter back from my dad's so i can really test this thing out!

It looks odd, is that really a 12" speaker? It looks like it could be 15". Seems like a good deal nonetheless.

great deal no matter what speaker is loaded as long as the cab is in good shape .. i've seen em go for twice that much UNloaded ...

load it with an EVM-12L and it'll be KILLER

let us know how it handles low power

Definitely a deal. I got the same cab from my local GC (used boogie thiele) for $150 and thought I had a good deal. Mine was loaded with a crapppy celestion g12m-70 speaker which I immediately dumped. Love the cabinet. Currently I have a celestion gold in it but may switch to an altec 417.

it sounds pretty good with another little 5 watter that i built. i'm not nearly as much of a fan of that amp than i am of the 18 watt though, but it still sounds like i expect it would compared to how it sounds through my marshall 4x12.
